We would like to provide some clarification on the lawsuit in year 2016 where D-ors Limited was the Plaintiff and PLM was the Defendant.
It was alleged that we have passed off their lessons. We did not do that and have vigorously contested this claim that in court.
In any event, we are very happy to announce that DMLC has, in the end, drop their Passing-off Claim.
This confirms that neither our Website Designer nor we copied DMLC’s teaching materials or methods.
Additionally, we have never misrepresented ourselves as a branch of DMLC or used their teaching methods.
Regarding the claim that we infringed on D-ors Limited’s copyright related to its website and Facebook contents, we did not have any involvement in designing our website. It was created independently by a third party, without our direction or knowledge. We responsibly admitted a judgment regarding this, and the website designer and their company have apologized and admitted their wrongdoing in court.
We wish to repeat the true fact that we have never copied or passed off D-ors’ lessons.
We want to emphasize that our successful methodology, proven and very popular in Hong Kong, was single-handedly created by our founder, Belinda Wong.
We sincerely thank all PLM parents for their unwavering support over the past 20+ years. Your trust and encouragement have been invaluable to our journey.
We appreciate your attention, and apologize for not clarifying this sooner.
